About the role
LeafLink is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to guide the advancement of our data infrastructure. This position will involve creating and expanding systems that support analytics, reporting, and operational insights throughout the company.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and oversee the development of scalable data pipelines utilizing Airflow, dbt, and Python.
- Contribute to the architectural direction and evolution of the company's data platform.
- Construct integrations with contemporary data stack components, including Fivetran, Redshift, and Sigma.
- Develop serverless data services using AWS services such as Lambda.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish dependable data models and analytics datasets.
- Enhance pipeline dependability through testing, monitoring, and observability practices.
- Modernize existing data processes and increase automation across the platform.
- Mentor engineers and analysts in data modeling and platform best practices.
- Drive improvements in data governance and documentation.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in building production data pipelines and analytics infrastructure.
- Proficient SQL skills and experience in modeling extensive datasets.
- Strong Python proficiency for pipeline construction and automation.
- Experience with orchestration and transformation tools like Airflow or dbt.
- Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Fivetran, Redshift, or Sigma.
- Experience with AWS and serverless data processing, including Lambda.
- A solid understanding of data warehouse architecture and analytics engineering principles.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives across multiple teams.
