Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

The Law School Admission Council is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support our enterprise technology platforms. You will focus on maintaining both cloud and on-premise systems while ensuring the stability of our network environment.

What you'll do

• Administer and maintain Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Exchange environments.
• Manage patch cycles and provide daily operational support for physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Execute infrastructure designs and implement solutions provided by architects and senior staff.
• Monitor network health and security platforms to resolve incidents and system problems.
• Collaborate with developers and consultants to support organizational goals and project requirements.
• Create and update system documentation, runbooks, and technical knowledge bases.
• Provide off-hours support for network issues and employee needs as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in network technology environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Azure, Office 365, Hyper-V, and Exchange Server.
• Understanding of disaster recovery, fault tolerance, high availability, and internet connectivity.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally install networking hardware.

Practical notes

• Travel requirement is up to 5%.
• Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. ET, though additional hours may be required to complete assignments.
