Senior Solutions Engineer at LaunchDarkly
About the role
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor for LaunchDarkly's largest enterprise clients. You will support the sales team by demonstrating the value of our platform to new and existing customers across various industries.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Guide technical discovery, design system architectures, and implement proofs of concept during the sales process.
- Collaborate with account executives and customer success managers to articulate technical benefits.
- Present impactful demonstrations, workshops, and proposals to technical and executive audiences.
- Build strong relationships with clients, identifying technical advocates and acting as a strategic partner.
- Communicate customer needs and feedback to Product and Engineering teams to influence the product roadmap.
- Lead technical projects across different regions and improve SE tools and processes for global use.
- Mentor less experienced team members and share best practices within the Solutions Engineering department.
- Maintain expert knowledge of the LaunchDarkly platform, its integrations, and relevant industry trends.
- Respond to RFPs and manage technical environments to support enterprise sales efforts.
- Translate complex client requirements into practical and scalable technical solutions.
- Represent LaunchDarkly at industry events and client meetings, involving travel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud infrastructure, or DevOps practices.
- In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms, with expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proven ability to lead and document proof-of-concept projects and build technical champions within client organizations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with a history of sharing industry insights.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

- Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, and HIPAA.

- Total compensation includes salary, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits.
