Solutions Architect at LaunchDarkly
About the role
Join LaunchDarkly's Professional Services team to guide customers in safely and efficiently delivering software and AI-powered applications. You will act as a technical advisor, helping organizations integrate LaunchDarkly to manage feature rollouts, conduct experiments, and govern AI systems.

What you'll do
- Advise customers on implementing LaunchDarkly for AI-driven applications and traditional software delivery.
- Assist clients in integrating LaunchDarkly into their AI architectures, including LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows.
- Help design and implement progressive delivery strategies for AI features, including experimentation and safety controls.
- Develop reference implementations and prototypes by writing production-quality code alongside customer engineering teams.
- Integrate LaunchDarkly into customer systems at inference and workflow decision points.
- Gather technical requirements and propose practical solutions to customer challenges.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customer engineering and platform teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during engagements.
- Stay informed about LaunchDarkly capabilities and evolving AI delivery patterns.
- Provide feedback from customer engagements to Product and Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise software, platform engineering, or solutions architecture, with a consultative and hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in writing production-quality code in at least one modern language such as Python, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Go.
- Experience building and deploying integrations and prototypes within customer repositories.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-based approaches, or a strong willingness to learn.
- Ability to guide customers on DevOps, CI/CD, and modern release practices, including experimentation and progressive delivery.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) in enterprise settings and leading teams through development or platform transformations.
- Solid understanding of how feature management and experimentation platforms enhance and de-risk software delivery.
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Linux, and container technologies.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.

- Salary ranges depend on geographic zones:
- Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area, NYC Metro, Boston, Seattle): $152,900 - $210,210
- Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago): $137,600 - $189,200
- Zone 3 (All other US locations): $129,900 - $178,640
- Compensation includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, dental insurance, and mental health benefits.
