What you'll do

• Create and deploy full-stack features for the Guardian monitoring system, covering user interfaces, APIs, backend services, and data processing.
• Take ownership of features from initial concept through to production deployment and ongoing improvements.
• Work with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver impactful solutions.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design reviews, making informed decisions.
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and champion best practices for code quality and system reliability.
• Support and mentor fellow team members, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
• Participate in on-call duties to ensure the stability of live features.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with experience in both frontend and backend development.
• Proficiency in full-stack development, ideally with experience in TypeScript/React for the frontend and Go or a similar language for the backend.
• Strong understanding of user needs and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building or extensively using monitoring, alerting, or observability tools.
• Familiarity with feature flagging, release automation, or developer productivity tools.

Pay ranges vary by US geographic zone:

Zone 1 (SF/Bay Area, NYC Metro, Boston, Seattle): $171,200 - $235,400

Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago): $154,100 - $211,860

Zone 3 (All other US locations): $145,500 - $200,090

Compensation includes salary, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, dental insurance, and mental health benefits.
