About the role
This position supports the quote-to-cash process by partnering with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations. You will help shape commercial agreements for significant deals, acting as a key advisor to sales teams. The role involves bringing structure to complex transactions and driving them forward efficiently.

What you'll do
- Act as a trusted advisor to sales teams on structuring and negotiating complex deals.
- Manage a portfolio of deals, guiding sales leaders through high-value negotiations.
- Review proposed deals for policy adherence, accuracy, and compliance, making approval or escalation decisions.
- Assist with commercial terms and contract language to facilitate deal closures.
- Maintain data integrity and consistency in closed opportunities by enforcing established procedures.
- Ensure all contracts and supporting documents are properly executed and stored.
- Become proficient in and support the Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) tool.
- Train new sales representatives on opportunity creation and booking processes.
- Facilitate information exchange between Sales, Professional Services, Legal, Finance, and RevOps for smooth deal execution.
- Ensure deal review and approval processes align with company policies and compliance standards.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of deal desk policies and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to optimize the deal process.
- Investigate and champion the use of AI tools to improve deal review, contract analysis, and approval workflows.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years of experience in the Software/SaaS sector, with background in Deal Desk, Finance, or Revenue Operations.
- Ability to understand and draft business terms and conditions for contracts.
- Demonstrated success in managing high deal volumes and meeting strict deadlines, particularly at quarter-end.
- Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics, such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR).
- Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and confidence in making data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and problem-solving approach.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce and quoting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated curiosity or practical experience with AI tools for tasks like contract review or workflow automation.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Knowledge of software revenue recognition principles.

- Zone 1 (San Francisco/Bay Area, NYC Metro, Boston, Seattle): $121,000 - $167,000
- Zone 2 (Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago): $109,000 - $150,000
- Zone 3 (All other US locations): $103,000 - $142,000
- Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
