Software Engineer at LatchBio.
About the role
LatchBio creates the industry standard benchmarks used to evaluate AI performance in computational biology. We are expanding our engineering team to support our rapid growth and high demand from partners like 10X Genomics and Vizgen. You will build the infrastructure behind our benchmarking pipelines, including data ingestion, evaluation design, and grading systems.

What you'll do
- Develop and maintain agent infrastructure and large-scale model benchmarking systems.
- Build full-stack web applications and improve developer and user experiences.
- Optimize processes for data systems and internal benchmarking platforms.
- Collaborate with scientists to design and deploy agentic biology research.
- Manage product areas independently while working alongside product managers and designers.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and shipping high-quality software products.
- Ability to apply systems engineering principles to data and tooling architecture.
- Interest in the fundamentals of computer systems, including databases, distributed systems, operating systems, compilers, or programming language theory.
- Ability to work in-person at our San Francisco office.

- Salary: $180k-$250k per year plus equity.
