Content Lead

About the role

LangChain is seeking a Content Lead to establish and expand its content operations. This role involves both hands-on content creation and strategic team management. You will define the content direction for our developer community, from blog posts to major initiatives, while also building the processes and standards for high-quality content production.

What you'll do

• Recruit, onboard, and develop a content marketing team, providing regular feedback and coaching.
• Formulate and implement the content strategy and roadmap, identifying key themes and audience segments.
• Spearhead significant content initiatives, such as the "State of Agents" report, collaborating with internal experts.
• Manage blog performance and organic growth, focusing on traffic, engagement, and conversion metrics.
• Produce and edit high-impact content, including strategic blog posts and thought leadership pieces.
• Enhance SEO and AEO efforts by working with an external agency and implementing best practices.
• Establish and refine editorial guidelines, voice standards, and content workflows for efficient output.
• Facilitate cross-functional content creation with engineering, product, and education teams.
• Define success metrics, track content performance, and use data to refine strategy and report insights.

Requirements

• Experience in content marketing, editorial, or product marketing at developer-focused or technical companies.
• At least 1 year of experience managing or mentoring individual contributors.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale content functions.
• Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities, with a focus on developing team members.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills for developer audiences, with strong editorial judgment.
• Strategic thinking to align content with business goals and drive adoption.
• Proven track record of increasing organic traffic through SEO-optimized content.
• Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts.
• Data-driven mindset with experience tracking metrics and optimizing strategy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
• Self-starter with an ownership mentality, thriving in ambiguous environments.
• Hands-on, builder mentality, willing to iterate quickly and systematize processes.
• A considered perspective on AI's role in content creation.
