Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the operational cadence for Lambda Cloud, managing weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews and planning sessions to ensure alignment and progress.
- Develop and sustain financial models that guide strategic decisions related to purchasing, deployment, and product packaging.
- Collaborate with the finance team to create profit and loss statements and key operating metrics for the business unit, focusing on assessing and enhancing profitability.
- Design and execute a structured process for requesting long-term capital investments for foundational projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Build a demand forecasting system to optimize deployment schedules, enhancing operational efficiency and resource allocation.
- Work closely with teams across supply, product, pricing, and support to transform ad-hoc tasks into standardized operating agreements, promoting consistency and efficiency.
- Streamline business processes to minimize manual efforts, thereby increasing efficiency as the company scales, including initiatives like automating billing processes.
- Actively participate in cross-functional projects that require strategic input and operational oversight, ensuring that all initiatives align with the broader business objectives.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, business operations, finance, or revenue operations, or 4 years with an advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Proven track record of constructing comprehensive financial models from the ground up, even when working with incomplete data, along with a strong rationale for assumptions made.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams towards shared objectives without having direct authority, showcasing strong leadership skills.
- Expertise in operational systems and process design, with a keen ability to identify and rectify workflow inefficiencies.
- A strong sense of ownership, with a commitment to resolving issues and standing by the outcomes achieved.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a history of effective collaboration across peer teams.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline.

- Experience in leveraging AI to automate and enhance personal work processes, showcasing innovation in operational efficiency.
- Background in Business Operations, Finance, or Revenue Operations within a rapidly growing cloud, infrastructure, or hardware company.
- Familiarity with presenting regularly to executive leadership, demonstrating confidence and clarity in communication.
- Understanding of sales processes, deal structures, and pricing strategies, contributing to informed decision-making.
- Experience with capacity planning or capital expenditure allocation involving significant financial resources, such as millions or billions of dollars.

- This role requires in-office work in the San Francisco location four days a week, with Tuesday designated as a work-from-home day.
