About the role
Join the Payward Services team to build and scale the core infrastructure for an enterprise platform. This role focuses on creating systems that enable safe and efficient movement of money and assets for various financial partners. You will contribute to a global financial infrastructure designed to advance an open financial system.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Design and implement Rust services and libraries for trading, payments, and crypto applications, prioritizing reliability and performance.
- Develop highly efficient, reusable, and testable code for critical revenue systems, ensuring safety and security.
- Collaborate on the architecture of large-scale distributed systems, translating product needs into resilient, low-latency solutions.
- Work with a large group of experienced Rust engineers in a product-focused engineering environment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Proficiency in writing network services or asynchronous code using Rust.
- A security-first approach to system design.
- Ability to independently debug issues across the entire stack, including OS, network, and application layers.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and technologies like RPC protocols, Kafka, and Event-Driven Systems for scalable solution design.
- Effective collaboration with product teams to gather requirements and constraints for system design.
- Full end-to-end ownership of systems and libraries.

- Experience developing B2B products, particularly within the fintech or crypto industries.
