About the role
This role centers on providing technical and AI-driven expertise to support the sales cycle for our life sciences partners. You will act as a bridge between complex data assets and commercial strategy, helping clients modernize their workflows through our Healthcare Map and AI analytics platform.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Partner with Sales to identify client technical requirements, data needs, and commercial goals during discovery.
- Design and present custom solutions that integrate our Healthcare Map, AI engine, and software products.
- Conduct live, plain-language technical demonstrations and handle ad-hoc inquiries in real time.
- Explain our approach to trustworthy AI, including data provenance, reproducibility, and governance, to technical and procurement stakeholders.
- Build reusable demo assets and proof-of-value frameworks to improve team efficiency.
- Navigate internal reviews involving Legal, Compliance, Security, and Product teams.
- Mentor junior team members and provide feedback to the product and AI roadmap teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Account Management within the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry.
- Deep familiarity with BioPharma functional areas such as Commercial, HEOR/RWE, and Medical Affairs.
- Hands-on experience building or experimenting with AI agents and applications, such as Claude Code, Cursor, LangFlow, or data-science notebooks.
- Working fluency in LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, and retrieval-grounded analytics.
- Strong foundation in healthcare claims and real-world data, including 837/835 data, NDC codes, and clinical ontologies.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, APIs, and cloud architectures like AWS or Azure.
- Experience navigating HIPAA, GDPR, and AI governance requirements for regulated industries.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with responsible-AI frameworks and enterprise AI evaluation processes.
- Technical certifications in AWS, Azure, or data platforms.
- Experience with Salesforce for pipeline management.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker.

Practical notes
- Compensation: $164,000 to $222,000 USD for San Francisco Bay Area and New York City; $143,000 to $193,000 USD for all other US locations.

- Work Model: Hybrid model with hubs in San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago; this position is listed as remote.
