About the role
Kombo is expanding its US sales presence and needs a driven professional to help double our revenue by 2026. You will manage full-cycle sales processes while mentoring a dedicated business development representative to ensure we meet our aggressive growth targets.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the entire sales funnel from initial prospecting to final contract signature.
- Partner with a business development representative to convert leads, maintaining our historical win rate of 40 percent or higher.
- Act as a consultant for prospects, educating them on the unified API market for HR, payroll, and recruiting systems.
- Refine and iterate on our internal sales workflows to improve the customer buying journey.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to share market feedback and improve our platform.
- Serve as a mentor for junior sales staff to elevate overall team performance.
Requirements
- Proven track record in an early-stage B2B startup environment ranging from seed to Series C.
- Expertise in running high-quality sales processes across varied customer segments.
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities with high-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while pioneering a competitive market.
- Fluent in English.
Nice to have
- At least 2 years of experience as a top-performing account executive.
- Background in selling technical SaaS products with average contract values of $40,000 or more.
- Prior experience selling developer tools or API-based products.
- Technical familiarity with software development, cloud infrastructure, and programming languages.
- Consistent history of exceeding assigned sales quotas.
