This individual contributor role focuses on marketing for China and Japan. You will build and execute integrated campaigns for these distinct markets, adapting strategies to local platforms and buyer behaviors. Your work will span the entire marketing funnel, from small businesses to enterprise clients.

What you'll do
- Plan and carry out integrated marketing campaigns across China and Japan, including paid, organic, lifecycle, field, account-based marketing, and partner marketing.
- Develop and adjust campaign strategies to suit local relevance, considering platform choices like WeChat, Baidu, and LINE, buyer behaviors, content formats, and competitive environments.
- Work with Business Development Representatives, Sales, field teams, partnerships, and shared services to align campaign timing and messages with market-specific pipeline goals and account priorities.
- Collaborate with Brand & Content and Product Marketing to determine where existing assets can be used and where new, market-native content and localization are necessary.
- Create and implement co-marketing programs with local partners, such as campaigns, in-market events, and webinars, to generate demand and pipeline while highlighting joint value propositions in China and Japan.
- Support partner-led marketing initiatives with appropriate tools, content, and guidance, and advocate for the partner perspective internally to deepen collaboration.
- Manage campaign calendars, budgets, and vendor relationships specifically for China and Japan, including local media and platform partners.
- Track and report campaign performance by market and channel, providing clear insights into what is effective, what is not, and why.
- Build and maintain a market-level measurement framework with Marketing Analytics to ensure decisions are based on data.
- Propose adjustments to investment across China and Japan based on campaign results.
- Define success criteria to guide resource planning, campaign scheduling, and prioritization among various stakeholders.
- Represent the specific needs and limitations of these markets in global and regional campaign planning.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitive dynamics in China and Japan, contributing fresh ideas for how Klaviyo and its partners operate.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in partner marketing, demand generation, or regional marketing, with direct experience in China and/or Japan.
- Ability to manage campaigns from start to finish, including planning, execution, and reporting, without a large supporting team.
- Comfortable with self-service tasks in a lean environment, such as copywriting, basic design, case study interviews, and event execution.
- Experience managing media budgets across multiple markets, with a clear understanding of campaign effectiveness.
- Working knowledge of platforms and channels specific to China and Japan, including WeChat, Rednote, LINE, X, and local social and search ecosystems.
- Capable of interpreting data and formulating recommendations, not just reports.
- Ability to report performance against OKRs/KPIs to executive leadership, translating market-level details into a regional narrative.
- A strong collaborator who can balance global and local priorities.
- Organized enough to manage multiple stakeholders and timelines across two distinct markets, and pragmatic in adapting processes.
- Genuinely interested in understanding the unique characteristics of buyers in China and Japan.
- Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones with a globally distributed marketing team.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Tableau and Salesforce or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with the partner ecosystem in China and/or Japan, including agencies, technology, and channel partners.
- Knowledge of local publisher media landscapes in China and/or Japan.
- Business proficiency in Mandarin and/or Japanese.
