Key Talent Solutions is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to integrate our AI platform into customer production systems. This role involves working directly within client codebases, implementing monitoring and evaluation processes for live agent workflows, troubleshooting issues in real-time environments, and ensuring successful deployments that lead to reliable production outcomes.

What you'll do

• Implement and integrate our platform and AI components into client production environments.
• Embed monitoring and evaluation tools into existing workflows for agents.
• Assist clients in making informed technical choices regarding agent monitoring and evaluation strategies.
• Manage multiple customer projects from initial integration to ongoing adoption and success.
• Convert client feedback into actionable insights that influence product development.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering features within real codebases.
• Familiarity with applied AI, including deploying AI or LLM-based systems in production; experience with agent or evaluation systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, simplifying complex ideas effectively.
• Ability to interpret vague customer objectives and translate them into actionable technical solutions.
• A strong commitment to this role as your primary career choice.
• Located in San Francisco or willing to relocate; must be available for in-person work five days a week.
• Aspiration to become a technical founder in the future.

Nice to have

• Background in engineering from a reputable product company; experience in infrastructure is a plus.
• Previous work with agent systems, evaluations, observability, or behavior monitoring products.
• Experience in early-stage startups or a background as a founder.
• Proficiency in full-stack development with a focus on backend and infrastructure.

• Proficient in software engineering languages and frameworks relevant to AI deployment.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation tools for agent performance.
• Strong understanding of integration processes within production environments.

Practical notes

• Salary range is $200,000 to $300,000, based on experience, plus significant equity options; exceptional candidates with AI expertise may be considered for higher compensation.

• Visa sponsorship (H-1B / O-1 / OPT) may be available for outstanding candidates; preference will be given to those not requiring sponsorship.
