About the role
Kepler is looking for a mid-career professional to manage Safety and Mission Assurance activities for our satellite programs. You will serve as an independent technical authority, ensuring our hardware and processes meet rigorous mission requirements from development through delivery.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee product assurance during the full satellite lifecycle, including design, assembly, testing, and delivery.
- Audit manufacturing and design documentation to ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Manage non-conformance reports, perform root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
- Identify and mitigate risks to product quality and mission success.
- Maintain configuration management and hardware traceability.
- Create and update quality workflows, templates, and work instructions.
- Lead internal process improvement initiatives and verify their effectiveness.
- Support supplier quality by reviewing documentation and managing supplier non-conformances.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate quality requirements into daily operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree or diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quality Engineering.
- 4+ years of professional experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, aerospace, or defense.
- Proficiency in quality management principles and process-based systems.
- Strong documentation and organizational capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and drive them to completion.
Nice to have
- Background in satellite systems, spaceflight hardware, or electronics manufacturing.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, ECSS, NASA, or IEC.
- Experience leading corrective action processes and root cause analysis.
- Skill in developing technical procedures and quality documentation.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and configuration management systems.

Salary Range: $80,781 - $130,781 CAD. Compensation is determined based on individual experience, skills, and performance. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, an equity plan, unlimited vacation, parental leave, and a $1,500 annual professional development fund.
