About the role
Join KAYAK's internal creative team in London as a Conceptual Designer/Art Director. You will develop compelling visual campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive brand growth. This role involves transforming insights and business goals into memorable creative work across various platforms.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Generate creative concepts and visual designs for brand, performance, social, video, digital, out-of-home, and new media.
- Guide ideas from initial brief to final execution, ensuring high quality.
- Produce distinctive visual content that stands out in a competitive market.
- Collaborate with writers, marketers, motion designers, and product teams to create unified, insight-driven creative.
- Contribute to visual identity, campaign strategies, moodboards, and presentations.
- Translate product features and business challenges into engaging visual narratives.
- Utilize testing and performance data to refine creative and enhance outcomes.
- Help uphold and improve creative standards within the team.
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in a creative career, demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, craft, and a compelling portfolio.
- Curious, collaborative, and highly self-motivated.
- Strong conceptual abilities with excellent art direction, design, and visual storytelling skills.
- Capable of balancing creative aspirations with commercial objectives.
- Interested in leveraging data, testing, and audience insights to improve creative performance.
- Deep interest in branding, storytelling, travel, and culture.
- Eager to explore new creative tools and technologies, including AI.
- Ready to contribute to an idea-first, forward-thinking in-house studio.
Nice to have
- Experience in an advertising agency or a strong creative environment.
- Portfolio showcasing comprehensive conceptual thinking and execution across multiple formats.
- Demonstrated experience working across digital, social, film, out-of-home, and emerging platforms.
- Natural intuition for typography, composition, motion, and storytelling.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Highly organized and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Genuine interest in travel and creativity.
- Experience in production processes or motion design is a plus.

- This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in the London office.
