About the role
In this position, you will assist in the product development process, focusing on sample management and ensuring that design aesthetics, quality standards, and financial goals are met within specified timelines. You will collaborate closely with various teams to support the successful launch of products.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Assist in product development tasks such as reviewing prototypes and samples, ensuring adherence to project milestones, and coordinating development packages with international partners.
- Collaborate with the Materials team to source necessary materials for all development phases.
- Maintain and update relevant data and tools to support the development process.
- Facilitate daily communication and activities with the Asia Product Development team.
- Aid in the approval process and resolve outstanding issues to ensure a smooth transition from development to commercialization.
- Prioritize and execute daily tasks as directed by the Manager, driving completion and addressing any challenges that arise.
- Understand the product development process and its implications, alerting the manager to potential issues related to deadlines.
- Organize and archive samples upon arrival.
- Assist in research and development initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in product development, particularly in handbags and small leather goods; a combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Strong organizational skills along with effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability to changing business needs and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in a global company working with overseas partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, TEAMS, and Illustrator.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ECV or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Practical notes
This position is eligible for a salary range of $64,350.00 to $70,000.00.
