About the role
You own the strategy, execution, and outcomes for the Time mission within Product Foundations, defining how Justworks customers manage workforce time through time off and time worked. You craft intuitive, compliant product experiences that guide administrators and employees through complex leave policies, PTO balances, and time-off workflows with clarity and care. You translate intricate regulatory requirements and payroll dependencies into simple, scalable product decisions that reduce risk and enhance usability. You partner deeply with engineering, design, data services, operations, and customer-facing teams to deliver high-impact features that improve compliance, productivity, and trust. You analyze behavioral data and customer feedback to continuously refine the product, ensuring it meets evolving user needs and business goals. You act as a vocal advocate for the Time mission, removing roadblocks and fostering collaboration to maintain momentum and high-quality delivery. You help shape the future of workforce time management by solving some of the most nuanced challenges in HR, FinTech, and HRTech with precision and empathy.

What you'll do
Define and own the product vision and roadmap for the Time mission, aligning with business strategy and customer needs.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and synthesize findings to develop clear product requirements and success metrics.
Collaborate with engineering and design to translate complex regulatory and operational constraints into intuitive product flows.
Analyze usage data and customer feedback to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and prioritize improvements.
Partner with Customer Success and Sales to understand customer challenges and ensure product solutions address real-world needs.
Work cross-functionally to coordinate releases, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality product updates.
Develop and maintain deep expertise in time and attendance regulations, translating compliance needs into product logic.
Create clear documentation, including requirements, user stories, and process maps, to guide development and alignment.
Champion usability and accessibility principles to ensure the product is inclusive and easy to use for all administrators and employees.
Lead discovery sessions and problem framing exercises to uncover root causes and drive innovative solutions.
Communicate progress, trade-offs, and outcomes to stakeholders through clear narratives and data-driven updates.
Contribute to product principles and best practices across the organization, elevating the standard of product thinking.
Requirements
8+ years of experience in product management, with a track record of delivering complex software products.
Proven experience managing products in regulated domains such as FinTech, Healthcare, or HRTech.
Strong understanding of time and attendance, payroll, and leave management concepts and operational workflows.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data, legal, and customer-facing functions.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and inform product decisions.
Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, with experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities, manage trade-offs, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with a commitment to ethical product practices and regulatory compliance.
Nice to have
Experience with mobile product design and delivery.
Background in workforce management, scheduling, or compliance-heavy environments.
Knowledge of payroll and tax implications related to time tracking and leave policies.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Experience using data analytics tools to derive product insights.
