About the role
Jumio is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer IV to join the Fraud team and build advanced detection systems for identity verification. You will focus on creating and deploying deep learning models that protect clients in sectors like fintech, gaming, and travel from fraudulent activity.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Own the development and maintenance of computer vision models for fraud detection.
- Design and implement machine learning, deep learning, and classical computer vision solutions.
- Conduct research to support the deployment of advanced algorithms.
- Deploy models as AWS SageMaker endpoints or directly onto edge devices.
- Monitor industry trends by reviewing academic research and attending conferences.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering peers within an Agile framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of commercial experience in machine learning or deep learning (2 years required if holding a Master degree).
- Proven experience training deep learning models for deepfake, synthetic data, or generative AI detection.
- Ability to translate machine learning metrics into specific product objectives.
- Hands-on proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and SKLearn.
- Experience writing production-grade Python code.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and monitor machine learning models in live production environments.
Nice to have
- Experience working with LLMs or VLMs.
- Background in image or video generation.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
- Experience working within global organizations across multiple time zones.
