Principal iOS Engineer

This position involves shaping the future of our core iOS SDK. You will blend native mobile development with machine learning and computer vision to enhance user trust and onboarding. The role requires a blend of technical architecture, product development, and collaboration with specialists in AI.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Lead the ongoing development and architectural design of our primary iOS SDK and occasionally customer-facing applications.
• Drive new features and fixes from initial concept through design and to public release.
• Produce clear, documented code that impacts applications used by over 100 million users.
• Assist in resolving customer-reported issues.
• Work with the broader R&D and company teams to build valuable features.
• Manage your own workload through effective prioritization and task ownership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience developing iOS applications using Swift.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and iOS-specific development practices.
• Proven ability to contribute to large-scale projects.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality software.
• A results-oriented approach with an understanding of business objectives.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for a distributed, high-performing team.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests for automated testing.
• Familiarity with Android development basics and architecture.
• Experience with digital identity verification or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) handling.
• A history of successfully developing SDKs or frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with cross-platform development tools like React Native, Flutter, or Cordova.
• Familiarity with Ruby and Fastlane for automation.
