Demand Planner - Jumia

About the role

Jumia is a pan-African e-commerce platform operating a marketplace supported by Jumia Logistics and Jumia Pay. This role manages stock availability by coordinating supply chain operations with demand forecasts to ensure efficient inventory flow. You will serve as the primary point of contact between the commercial, finance, and supply chain departments.

What you'll do

• Create and oversee purchase orders in the OMS system, ensuring they align with procurement meetings and minimum order quantity requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines while verifying cost accuracy with commercial teams.
• Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including routing for approval and closing out completed or delayed orders.
• Schedule stock deliveries using the Inbound Scheduler and provide daily reports to warehouse security.
• Maintain inventory data integrity by fixing SKU mismatches and tracking product launches via PowerBI.
• Generate weekly inbound performance reports covering failed deliveries, missing documentation, and rescheduling.
• Update supply chain records such as EANs and costs, and coordinate with finance to resolve invoice discrepancies.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and business intelligence software for managing large datasets.
• Strong communication abilities for managing vendor relationships and internal cross-functional collaboration.
• High level of organizational skill to handle multiple project timelines and priorities.
• Precise attention to detail regarding financial tracking and purchase order documentation.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Jumia internal systems including OMS, Inbound Scheduler, BOB, and PET.
