Strategic Venture Capital Partnerships Manager

About the role

Vanta is seeking a founding member for its Venture and Startup Partnerships team in the APJ region to establish our presence within the local startup ecosystem. You will work under the Strategic Venture Capital Partnerships Lead to drive platform adoption by connecting with founders, accelerators, and venture capital firms.

What you'll do

• Build and manage relationships with founders, operators, venture capitalists, and startup accelerators across the APJ region.
• Assist in the management of existing partnership programs, including founder introductions and portfolio engagement.
• Host and participate in events, office hours, and workshops to attract new founders to the Vanta platform.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and SDR teams to turn ecosystem activity into measurable pipeline and product growth.
• Execute structured partnership initiatives, including onboarding and deal support.
• Represent the company at industry gatherings, demo days, and startup events.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in VC, accelerators, startups, business development, or early-stage sales.
• Deep knowledge of the Australian startup and venture capital landscape.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the Sydney office 3 days per week.
• Willingness to travel throughout the APJ region for events and partnership meetings.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building long-term professional relationships.
• Ability to explain complex value propositions to founders and internal stakeholders.
• Practical mindset focused on execution, program management, and follow-up.
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve efficiency and work output.
