About the role
This position manages health and safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards and maintain regulatory compliance. You will serve as the primary contact for safety-related agency interactions and oversee site-specific waste and security programs during the back half night shift.

What you'll do
- Roll out safety initiatives and manage behavioral safety programs.
- Participate in the Safety Solutions Group.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies like OSHA, EPA, and FDA.
- Manage responses to inspections and citations in coordination with the Director of WHS and Legal.
- Administer the site regulated waste program.
- Supervise on-site contract security personnel.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and lab staff to ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and USP standards.
- Collaborate with the Workers Compensation department at the fulfillment center.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in safety or a related field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in workplace health and safety.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace tools including Docs and Slides.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work the back half night shift, specifically 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
- Must be able to stand for up to 100 percent of a shift, walk up to 50 percent, and squat or bend up to 20 percent.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs for up to 80 percent of a 12-hour shift.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, when handling hazardous drugs.
- Must obtain medical clearance to wear respirators such as N95, full face, SCBA, or PAPR.
- Must acknowledge and understand the risks associated with handling hazardous drugs, including reproductive and carcinogenic effects.
