What you'll do

• Assist in the development of AI and machine learning features related to search, recommendations, and personalization.
• Create workflows for data preparation, evaluation, and experimentation.
• Work with prompts, embeddings, retrieval systems, structured outputs, and large language model APIs.
• Integrate AI functionalities into dependable product and backend systems.
• Analyze model performance, latency, and potential failure scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with onsite engineering, product, and data teams.

Requirements

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Basic understanding of machine learning principles, natural language processing, or information retrieval.
• Familiarity with APIs, version control using Git, debugging techniques, and fundamental software engineering practices.
• Willingness to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Nice to have

• Experience with large language model applications, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or model evaluation techniques.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn, as well as cloud-based AI services.
• Background in developing AI prototypes or data pipelines.
• Interest in AI agents, recommendation systems, or search technologies.
