Applied AI Engineer

About the role

This role involves building and maintaining production-ready artificial intelligence systems for a partner company. You will manage the entire development lifecycle, from initial model design and training to deployment and ongoing monitoring.

What you'll do

• Create and launch scalable machine learning solutions to solve business problems.
• Develop and refine training and inference pipelines for high efficiency.
• Fine-tune and deploy deep learning models and large language models.
• Partner with product teams, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver AI applications.
• Track model performance and data quality to ensure system reliability.
• Write technical documentation and establish engineering standards.
• Research new methodologies to upgrade existing infrastructure.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in machine learning, deep learning, or applied AI.
• Advanced Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, JAX, or similar frameworks.
• Background in deploying production systems that utilize LLMs, computer vision, and natural language processing.
• Knowledge of statistics, model evaluation, and performance optimization.
• Experience building distributed training workflows and scalable ML infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in RAG, agentic AI, multimodal AI, or LLM fine-tuning.
• Published research or contributions to open-source AI projects.
• Familiarity with Responsible AI principles.

• Salary: $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
