About the role

In this position, you will take charge of the technical development of BUILD, Inc.'s agentic AI platform. You will be responsible for designing scalable systems, managing a productive engineering team, and integrating complex real estate logic into high-quality software solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead the engineering department, overseeing architecture, infrastructure, security, and the speed of execution for a production-ready AI platform.
• Recruit and guide a top-tier engineering team, establishing high technical standards that emphasize sound judgment, depth of knowledge, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Collaborate with product and domain experts to convert institutional real estate processes into effective AI systems capable of managing real-world demands.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in scaling an AI-focused company, such as Harvey, Sierra, or Glean, through significant growth phases, with a strong background in large language model (LLM) production systems.
• A proactive technical leader who actively participates in coding and troubleshooting production issues while balancing high-level architectural decisions and hiring responsibilities.
• Significant experience in B2B or enterprise software development that meets the needs of institutional clients handling critical financial and regulatory information.

Nice to have

• Experience in the real estate technology sector.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to AI development.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Practical notes

• Salary range: $225,000 - $325,000, plus equity.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
