About the role
J.Crew is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to assist in the development, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support of applications that serve our Design, Product Development, MP&A, Sourcing, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams. This position involves close collaboration with various stakeholders, engineering teams, and external partners to implement scalable technology solutions for FlexPLM and other enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in application development, systems analysis, and production support, ensuring the reliability and performance of essential business applications.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Create, develop, and maintain enhancements for FlexPLM and other technology applications related to Design and Sourcing, including custom features and automation solutions.
- Provide daily support for applications, addressing issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions while managing application configurations and maintenance.
- Work alongside Infrastructure, Information Security, QA, and external developers to support application environments on both Windows and Linux systems.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and production release processes to ensure quality and stability.
- Identify areas for modernization of applications, enhancing performance, minimizing technical debt, and automating processes.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives within Design & Sourcing Technology, including enhancements to FlexPLM and sourcing, as well as application modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in developing, supporting, or maintaining enterprise business applications.
- Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL, including SQL development skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise application deployments in Windows and Linux environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with both technical and business teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with FlexPLM or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, ASP.NET, Classic ASP, or PL/SQL.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat, AWS cloud services, or similar enterprise technologies.
- Familiarity with enterprise integrations, APIs, FTP/SFTP, and middleware technologies.
- Background in supporting retail, sourcing, product development, or supply chain applications.
- Experience working with external implementation partners and managed service providers.
