Talent Special Projects Manager

About the role

Ion is seeking a Talent Special Projects Manager to lead people-focused initiatives that support our organizational expansion. You will work directly with the Head of Global Talent Engagement to design and execute strategies that align our workforce goals with broader business objectives.

• Partner with talent leadership to deliver projects that support our five-year growth targets.
• Use data and professional experience to identify business needs and create new talent management processes.
• Translate complex organizational challenges into practical, commercially sound initiatives.
• Develop and launch strategies focused on employee retention and professional growth.
• Manage the rollout of new people programs through training and internal communication.
• Monitor industry trends and internal data to improve HR workflows and team performance.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify team development requirements and coordinate learning programs.
• Provide coaching on sensitive employee issues while applying knowledge of employment law and sound judgment.
• Build consensus across a matrixed organization to ensure project success.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience in talent engagement or management, ideally within engineering, product, or design environments.
• Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
• Track record of managing projects independently from start to finish.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and complex organizational structures.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• High attention to detail and organizational capability.
