About the role
Join the Compiler Engineering group to build and maintain the software stacks that power Intel hardware. You will work on LLVM-based tools to optimize performance for CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators across AI and high-performance computing workloads.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and implement compiler optimizations specifically for Intel hardware.
- Partner with hardware teams to integrate support for new processor features.
- Build and maintain Clang, DPC++, and SYCL components.
- Develop test suites to ensure high reliability and code coverage.
- Engage with the upstream Clang open-source community.
- Improve vectorization and parallelization performance.
- Coordinate with language standards groups and external partners.
- Debug and resolve complex software issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience with C/C++ programming, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- 3+ years of experience working with LLVM compiler technology.
- 2+ years of experience contributing to open-source projects.
Nice to have
- Master degree in a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience building and supporting production-level compilers.
- Familiarity with MLIR, LLVM, or Clang frameworks.
- Experience with GPU programming or offload models such as CUDA, SYCL, or OpenMP.
- Proficiency in performance analysis, debugging, and optimization techniques.
