You will be responsible for identifying new business, managing the sales process from start to finish, and exceeding sales targets. This role is crucial for expanding our reach within the K12 education market.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Meet or surpass sales quotas by engaging K12 decision-makers through outreach, presentations, and negotiations.
- Create and implement sales strategies to find and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned region.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations, clearly explaining the benefits of Parchment K12 offerings.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, accurately tracking progress and forecasting future sales.
- Work with sales engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and agreements with potential clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and product updates to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Represent Instructure at industry events, conferences, and webinars to network with prospective clients.
- Keep client records accurate and current within the CRM system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of successful B2B sales experience, with a history of exceeding quotas, ideally in K12 education technology.
- Strong understanding of the K12 education market, including its specific challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven capability to manage complex sales cycles and develop strong client relationships.
- Proficiency with CRM software like Salesforce and Google Suite.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
