Risk Application Software Developer

About the role

INFOTRON is seeking a developer to build and maintain essential risk platforms for our investment operations. You will create software that tracks portfolio exposure, performance, and analytics while collaborating directly with traders and risk managers.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Build and improve software for trading, portfolio analytics, and risk reporting.
• Develop APIs, data pipelines, and services to support investment platforms.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for large financial datasets.
• Collaborate with front, middle, and back-office teams to define and deliver technical solutions.
• Manage system architecture, testing, code reviews, and deployment cycles.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evening or weekend support.
• Enhance system automation, monitoring, and performance.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of professional software development experience.
• Background in capital markets, such as hedge funds, investment banks, or trading firms.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, C++, or Python.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Understanding of distributed systems, API design, and software architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and Agile workflows.

Nice to have

• Prior work on risk management applications.
• Knowledge of financial concepts like VaR, Greeks, P&L attribution, and market or credit risk.
• Proficiency in C#/.NET, Python, or Angular.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, messaging systems, or real-time market data.
• History of supporting front-office users directly.
