About the role

The Indian Army is offering an internship focused on Drone and UAV Engineering. This position will immerse you in the realms of drone systems, flight software, and counter-UAS technologies, providing hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

What you'll do

• Assist with the assembly, testing, and upkeep of UAV platforms.
• Aid in the integration of flight controllers, GPS, sensors, communication modules, and payloads.
• Engage in flight testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
• Create or adjust software for mission planning, autonomous flight, and telemetry, utilizing programming languages like Python or C++.
• Help in the development of UAV design documentation, technical reports, and project presentations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards during all drone operations.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to address engineering challenges and enhance system performance.

Requirements

• Pursuing a B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent degree with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
• Pursuing a B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent degree with a specialization in Computer Science.
• Pursuing a B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent degree with a specialization in Robotics and Mechatronics.
• Pursuing a B.Tech. / B.E. or equivalent degree with a specialization in Aerospace Engineering.
• Must be available for the entire 75-day internship duration.
• Relevant skills and a strong interest in the project area are essential.

Practical notes

• Working hours are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday.
• Stipend disbursement occurs after successful completion of the internship; attendance below 75% disqualifies stipend eligibility.

• Personal smartphones and laptops are prohibited on site; workstations will be available.
