About the role
IDEO London is seeking a senior leader to bridge the gap between strategic intent and operational reality. You will guide complex client engagements, particularly within the health sector, while helping to grow the studio's strategy and organisational design practice.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end strategy and organisational design projects, from initial framing to final activation.
- Analyse organisations as systems to identify the cultural, structural, and behavioural levers that enable lasting change.
- Manage senior client relationships, including scoping new opportunities and maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Direct multidisciplinary teams comprising researchers, designers, and strategists.
- Facilitate high-stakes executive sessions to drive decision-making and alignment.
- Prototype and iterate on strategic futures to build client confidence before scaling.
- Mentor staff and contribute to the development of the studio's internal methods and market presence.
- Advise clients on the human and structural implications of adopting AI.
Requirements
- Proven track record in innovation, strategy, or organisational design, whether in-house or via consulting.
- Deep understanding of systems thinking and the ability to design for transformation.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and developing junior talent.
- Strong facilitation skills with the ability to navigate complex executive environments.
- Demonstrated success in business development, including writing proposals and growing accounts.
- Ability to bridge the gap between high-level strategy and practical implementation.
Nice to have
- Experience leading transformation initiatives within health organisations.
- Expertise in human-centred AI adoption, including workforce restructuring and capability building.
- Background in building or scaling an innovation practice.
- Familiarity with strategic frameworks such as Playing to Win.
- Experience working within European markets and regulatory environments.
- Fluency in a second language.
