What you'll do

• Lead the development and implementation of the risk management framework to identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization.
• Oversee the incident management process, ensuring timely response and resolution of incidents that may impact the bank's operations or reputation.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure that risk management practices are integrated into all business processes and decision-making.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on risk analysis findings and incident management outcomes to senior management and the board of directors.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness and compliance throughout the organization by providing training and guidance to staff at all levels.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure that the bank's risk management practices remain compliant and effective.
• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and industry peers, to stay informed about best practices in risk management.
• Lead a team of risk analysts and incident management professionals, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Implement advanced risk analysis tools and methodologies to enhance the bank's ability to predict and respond to potential risks.
• Coordinate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure that technology-related risks are adequately addressed and managed.
• Participate in crisis management planning and response efforts to ensure the bank is prepared for unforeseen incidents.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, risk management, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CRM) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, incident management, or a related field within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident response frameworks.
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management and incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with risk management software and tools, such as RSA Archer or MetricStream.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity risks and incident response strategies.
• Previous experience in a leadership role within a financial institution.
• Multilingual abilities, particularly in Armenian and English, are a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in risk analysis tools and software.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools to present risk data effectively.
