About the role
As a Jeweler-Appraiser at Idbank's Shengavit branch, you will play a crucial role in evaluating and appraising a variety of jewelry items. Your expertise will help ensure that our clients receive accurate assessments of their valuables, contributing to the bank's reputation for trustworthiness and professionalism. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of jewelry materials and market trends. You will work closely with clients, providing them with insights and guidance regarding their jewelry assets.

What you'll do
- Conduct thorough appraisals of various types of jewelry, including gold, silver, and precious gemstones, ensuring accurate valuations based on current market conditions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized assessments, fostering strong relationships built on trust and transparency.
- Stay updated on market trends and fluctuations in jewelry prices to provide clients with the most accurate and relevant information.
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports that outline the value of the jewelry, including descriptions, photographs, and any relevant certifications.
- Assist clients in understanding the appraisal process, addressing any questions or concerns they may have regarding their jewelry.
- Work alongside other bank professionals to integrate jewelry appraisal services into broader financial offerings, enhancing the overall client experience.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in jewelry appraisal and valuation.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all jewelry items are handled with care and respect throughout the appraisal process.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity in all dealings with clients and colleagues, ensuring that appraisals are conducted fairly and accurately.
- Contribute to the bank's marketing efforts by sharing insights and expertise on jewelry valuation through workshops, seminars, or online content.
- Manage the documentation and record-keeping associated with appraisals, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the bank's security team to ensure the safe handling and storage of high-value items during the appraisal process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in jewelry appraisal or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of various jewelry types and valuation techniques.
- Certification from a recognized jewelry appraisal organization is highly desirable, showcasing your expertise and commitment to the profession.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess the quality and value of jewelry accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and provide clear explanations of appraisal findings.
- Proficiency in using appraisal software and tools to streamline the valuation process and maintain accurate records.
- Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work, ensuring that all appraisals are conducted thoroughly and accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for providing exceptional service and building lasting client relationships.
