Strategic Account Executive, Public Sector, Federal Defense and Security

About the role

You will lead the go-to-market strategy for ID.me within the Department of Veteran Affairs, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of War. As the business unit lead, you will manage a cross-functional team to drive adoption of digital identity solutions that prevent fraud and improve government service efficiency.

What you'll do

• Direct the full growth lifecycle for your territory while reporting to the SVP of Federal and Healthcare.
• Navigate complex sales cycles and build relationships with sophisticated government buyers.
• Coordinate with solutions engineering, analytics, customer success, and field marketing to maximize sales outcomes.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecast, and customer data to manage business performance.
• Identify new opportunities to integrate ID.me products into public sector digital channels.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales or management consulting.
• Bachelor or graduate degree in engineering, economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas over multiple years.
• Previous experience selling to federal agencies, specifically the VA, DHS, or DoW.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Professional background in cybersecurity or digital identity.
• Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm.
• Domain expertise in national security or defense.

Practical notes
