SOC Analyst

About the role

ID.me is looking for an early-career professional to join our Security Operations team. You will monitor our digital identity platform and gain hands-on experience by investigating threats within a modern cloud environment.

What you'll do

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR tools.
• Perform initial triage and investigations, escalating incidents as required.
• Respond to threats including malware, phishing, and suspicious network or cloud activity.
• Support incident response, containment, and recovery efforts.
• Conduct threat hunting and IOC analysis under the supervision of senior analysts.
• Update security documentation, playbooks, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with IT, Cloud, and DevOps teams regarding security practices.
• Use AI tools to assist with alert triage, investigation, and documentation.
• Evaluate AI-driven detections to improve SOC efficiency.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in IT, information security, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of incident response, threat detection, and networking.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Chronicle.
• Proficiency with endpoint or network security tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be located in the continental United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or Bash scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, forensics, or threat intelligence.
• Security certifications such as Security+ or CEH.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
