SOC Analyst at ID.me.
About the role
ID.me is looking for an early-career professional to join our Security Operations team. You will monitor our digital identity platform and gain hands-on experience by investigating threats within a modern cloud environment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and EDR tools.
- Perform initial triage and investigations, escalating incidents as required.
- Respond to threats including malware, phishing, and suspicious network or cloud activity.
- Support incident response, containment, and recovery efforts.
- Conduct threat hunting and IOC analysis under the supervision of senior analysts.
- Update security documentation, playbooks, and SOPs.
- Coordinate with IT, Cloud, and DevOps teams regarding security practices.
- Use AI tools to assist with alert triage, investigation, and documentation.
- Evaluate AI-driven detections to improve SOC efficiency.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in IT, information security, or a related field.
- Foundational knowledge of incident response, threat detection, and networking.
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Chronicle.
- Proficiency with endpoint or network security tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be located in the continental United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or Bash scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management, forensics, or threat intelligence.
- Security certifications such as Security+ or CEH.
- Basic knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
