Developer Marketing Manager at ID.me.
About the role
You will lead the strategy for how developers and technical evaluators engage with the ID.me platform. This role involves managing the developer portal and documentation hubs to transition our service into a self-service platform. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevRel teams to create technical content that drives integration and adoption.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the information architecture, content roadmap, and maintenance for developers.id.me and docs.id.me.
- Author technical content including quickstarts, integration guides, API references, and code samples for our modular API suite.
- Align documentation and release notes with product updates, such as self-service capabilities and workflow policies.
- Produce tutorials, video walkthroughs, and reference architectures for identity workflows like OIDC, OAuth, SAML, SCIM, and Enterprise SSO.
- Translate complex engineering specifications into accessible, developer-focused materials.
- Partner with Support and Solutions Engineering to address common integration hurdles through proactive content.
- Execute campaigns to attract technical evaluators and track funnel metrics from portal visits to production integration.
- Lead the marketing strategy for technical product launches and serve as the developer advocate within internal product discussions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in developer marketing, technical product marketing, or developer relations for API or platform products.
- Technical background evidenced by a CS/engineering degree, previous engineering experience, or a portfolio of shipped technical content.
- Proficiency in technical writing with the ability to turn PRDs into actionable developer guides.
- Hands-on experience with a modern stack such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Go, including comfort with Git.
- Demonstrated success managing a developer portal or technical content program.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to have
- Experience within a developer ecosystem or community.
- Knowledge of IAM and identity protocols like OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, SCIM, and Enterprise SSO (Entra/Okta).
- Background in marketing identity, auth, CIAM, or security platforms.
