We are seeking skilled Data Scientists/Data Engineers to join our team. This role involves contributing to a new project focused on transaction monitoring within the financial sector. The ideal candidates will bring a wealth of experience and technical expertise to support our analytics initiatives.

What you'll do

• Conduct analytical tasks related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transaction monitoring systems.
• Work independently on various projects, providing analysis, design, and support for data management solutions.
• Perform data quality assessments on both raw and processed data within Oracle and Azure environments.
• Engage in customer segmentation, initial threshold setting for scenarios, and monitor model performance.
• Maintain structured documentation to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
• Execute quality control procedures to identify gaps in monitoring solutions and assist in future implementations.
• Collaborate with business teams to identify improvement opportunities and provide insights through data analysis.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in data science or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL at an expert level.
• Strong skills in query optimization, debugging, and automation.
• Experience with large datasets and the ability to apply statistical techniques and data mining tools effectively.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; however, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with tools such as SAS, Informatica, and Tableau.
• Knowledge of AML practices and regulations.
