About the role

Home Chef is seeking a senior technical contributor to design and refine systems that power our food supply chain. You will work across food, packaging, and logistics departments to automate manual workflows and lead high-impact operational projects from start to finish.

What you'll do

• Architect and deploy automated technical solutions to replace manual or error-prone processes.
• Manage the full lifecycle of technical tools, including scoping, development, testing, and deployment.
• Audit current operations to identify and remove sources of waste or inefficiency.
• Define requirements and standardize procedures for new or redesigned workflows.
• Oversee the annual budget process for packaging and logistics.
• Refine monthly cost forecasting for food, packaging, and logistics by analyzing market signals and variance.
• Lead cross-functional projects independently and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, engineering, data analytics, or management consulting.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Experience driving business process improvements through automation and data-driven insights.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Bachelor degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, analytics, or a related field is preferred.

• This role requires up to 10% travel to production facilities in Chicago, Atlanta, Baltimore, and San Bernardino, CA.
