Core FSQA Superintendent

About the role

This role manages the execution and refinement of food safety and quality initiatives for Home Chef and Tempo. You will lead the SQF Management System, oversee sanitation programs, and foster a strong culture of safety across our production operations.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Enforce and improve Food Safety and Quality Systems to maintain SQF compliance.
• Direct the cleaning, sanitation, and master sanitation schedule programs.
• Serve as the SQF Practitioner, managing documentation and audit readiness.
• Lead the Management Review process and track performance metrics.
• Support 24/7 production by resolving escalations and providing operational coverage.
• Collaborate with plant teams to identify process gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Coach and develop supervisory staff through regular meetings and performance reviews.
• Assist with recruiting and personnel management for shift staff.
• Deliver training and communicate updates to corporate and plant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Associate degree or completion of a two-year program.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or quality assurance.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and experience maintaining food safety programs.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with USDA, GFSI, and SQF audits.
