What you'll do

• Lead the technical design and creation of robust, high-performance front-end applications for web and mobile.
• Guide and mentor other engineers on best practices, design principles, and coding standards.
• Contribute to product strategy by assessing technical feasibility and defining features.
• Collaborate with designers to build intuitive and appealing user interfaces.
• Work with backend teams to ensure smooth integration of front-end components.
• Define the technical roadmap for front-end development, focusing on performance and reliability.
• Implement monitoring and error tracking using Datadog for improved application stability.
• Enhance engineering workflows and processes to elevate team standards.
• Analyze performance data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and share knowledge within the engineering team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping production code.
• At least 3 years of experience developing React Native applications for both iOS and Android, including app store deployment.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong command of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React, React Native, NextJS, and GraphQL.
• Demonstrated ability to build scalable and performant web and mobile applications.
• Experience with front-end state management libraries, such as Redux or Context API.
• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library, and mobile end-to-end testing tools like Detox or Appium.
• Experience with deploying and hosting front-end applications, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and building inclusive experiences.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
• Experience working within agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet objectives independently.

Nice to have

• Experience building features related to customer retention, lifecycle management, or engagement, such as subscription management or personalization.
• Prior experience in e-commerce environments.
• Experience with Node.js for server-side rendering or BFF patterns.
• Native Android development experience using Kotlin.
