Regional Learning Manager, Learning Operations
About the role
This position will guide learning and development initiatives for our Dispense & Fulfillment, Compounding, and Diagnostics departments across the West Region. You will be responsible for shaping learning strategies, building a capable team, and driving improvements that impact the entire network.

What you'll do
- Create and execute learning plans that support business goals for Dispense & Fulfillment, Compounding, and Diagnostics, reporting progress to the Director of Learning.
- Guide, support, and develop a team of learning professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory standards from the FDA, state boards of pharmacy, and USP, working with subject matter experts to translate compliance into effective learning.
- Collaborate with leadership, Quality, Regulatory Compliance, and Operations to identify skill gaps and develop appropriate training solutions.
- Manage the creation and delivery of blended learning programs designed to improve operational performance, compliance, and safety.
- Lead efforts to enhance training quality and consistency across the network, including process improvement projects, new program launches, and Learning Management System (LMS) initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of programs focused on leadership and professional growth.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to assess learning effectiveness and business impact, providing reports to senior management.
- Oversee learning budgets and resource allocation to maximize impact and demonstrate return on investment.
- Travel to various sites as required to support network priorities, program rollouts, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree. A Master's degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Possess an active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Have a minimum of 10 years of experience in learning and development, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity overseeing teams across multiple locations.
- Demonstrate a history of developing and implementing learning strategies that have produced measurable business results in regulated settings.
- Experience leading learning initiatives within pharmaceutical, healthcare, or distribution/fulfillment operations.
- Understand FDA regulations, cGMP requirements, and USP standards related to training and competency assessment.
- Possess strong business understanding, capable of aligning learning efforts with operational priorities and showing return on investment.
- Exhibit proficiency in change management, stakeholder management, and project management, with the ability to handle multiple complex projects concurrently.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence individuals at all organizational levels.
Nice to have
- Experience in 503a or 503b compounding pharmacy environments, including training on sterile compounding and aseptic techniques.
- Familiarity with USP <797>, <795>, and <800> standards and their associated training obligations.
- Experience leading learning initiatives during periods of significant growth, new facility openings, or organizational transitions.
- Proficiency with enterprise-level Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Background in process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with program and project management tools such as Asana, Google Suite, or similar platforms for managing multi-faceted projects.
- Experience designing and delivering leadership development programs.
