Join the Quality team at a large-scale non-sterile compounding pharmacy. This role involves overseeing product inspections and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of product safety and effectiveness.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Supervise and perform product inspections throughout the compounding process.
- Verify raw material and product compliance through checks and documentation.
- Support investigations into non-conformances, deviations, and customer feedback.
- Conduct and document equipment verifications, assisting with calibration.
- Help implement and maintain USP <795> and cGMP compliance.
- Assist with internal and third-party audits, ensuring readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, results, and quality metrics.
- Train and mentor pharmacy and production staff on quality procedures.
- Contribute to drafting and revising standard operating procedures and related documents.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in non-sterile compounding or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of USP <795> standards and cGMP practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in regulated environments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and strong organizational skills.
- Pharmacy Technician license or willingness to obtain one within six months of hire.
Nice to have
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
- Knowledge of FDA 21 CFR 210/211.
