About the role
The Compounding Lab Manager oversees daily operations within our pharmacy compounding labs. You will lead a team of technicians, manage equipment performance, and ensure all processes meet safety and regulatory standards.

What you'll do
- Supervise compounding technicians, including performance reviews, scheduling, and time management.
- Train staff on compounding equipment and operational procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for equipment maintenance and optimization in coordination with the Technical Services team.
- Collaborate with Quality Operations and the Pharmacist in Charge to maintain safety and compound quality.
- Manage documentation for environmental controls, scale calibrations, and hood certifications.
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are updated and followed according to regulatory guidelines.
- Staff non-sterile laboratories as required.
Requirements
- Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Prior experience working in a compounding pharmacy.
- Knowledge of USP 795 and USP 800 standards.
- Proficiency with Computer Rx pharmacy software.
- Ability to lead projects, manage inventory, and train personnel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours, walk for 50 percent of the time, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Practical notes
This role involves handling Hazardous Drugs, requiring the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment such as respirators, gowns, and gloves. You must obtain medical clearance to wear respiratory protection, including N95, full face, or Powered Air Purifying Respirators.
