About the role
This leadership position involves overseeing Harvey's Legal Engineering teams throughout the EMEA region. You will manage Legal Engineering Managers and guide teams that support pre-sales customer engagements. This is a second-line leadership role focused on organizational development, operational efficiency, and cross-functional execution.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead, develop, and expand a team of Legal Engineering Managers and their organizations serving Harvey's in-house customers.
- Create the systems, processes, and operational frameworks that enable Legal Engineering to deliver excellent customer outcomes at scale.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to align priorities and drive business execution.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders in law firms and legal departments, and an influential partner to senior stakeholders within Harvey.
- Improve organizational performance through effective planning, resource allocation, talent development, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to defining the future direction of Legal Engineering.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience practicing law at a top-tier law firm or in-house at a leading company, with significant client interaction.
- Experience leading managers and organizations composed of managers, not solely individual contributors.
- Proven success in building and expanding high-performing teams in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Experience owning organizational systems, processes, and operating models.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and achieve results across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong history of managing upward and influencing senior leaders.
- Experience representing an organization externally and building trusted relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of law firms and enterprise legal teams, including corporate, litigation, investigations, regulatory, compliance, and legal operations functions, as well as the evolving legal technology landscape.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

- Experience leading teams outside of a traditional law firm structure.
- Experience in legal technology, professional services, consulting, legal innovation, legal operations, or other customer-facing organizations.
- Experience operating in a high-growth technology company.
- Experience leading globally distributed teams.
- Demonstrated ability to create structure and drive execution in rapidly evolving environments.
- Experience working across multiple legal practice areas, including corporate, litigation, investigations, regulatory, compliance, and legal operations.
