About the role

Handshake AI is seeking a recruiter to manage the top of the funnel for our Growth team. You will focus on high-volume sourcing and screening for the Handshake AI Fellowship in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Manage the full top-of-funnel recruiting process for the Growth team.
• Execute creative outreach and market mapping to identify passive candidates, specifically those with technical or STEM backgrounds.
• Perform initial candidate screenings and coordinate handoffs to project teams.
• Advise hiring partners on market trends and recruitment strategy based on your findings.
• Maintain data accuracy in our ATS and report on key recruiting metrics to optimize performance.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of professional experience in recruiting or sourcing, either in-house or at an agency.
• Expertise in sourcing niche talent pools and specialized technical profiles.
• Ability to work during PST hours.
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with candidates and internal stakeholders.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and building new recruitment processes.
• Data-driven mindset with a focus on tracking conversion and sourcing metrics.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in executive search or high-volume agency recruiting.
• Background in recruiting for sales, go-to-market, or growth-oriented roles.
• Local candidates in San Francisco who are available to work from the office.
