About the role
Join the Coding Pod to build the data infrastructure that drives frontier AI coding models. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems and machine learning to create the benchmarks and execution environments that define how modern AI learns to code.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect systems for the generation, validation, and delivery of large-scale coding datasets.
- Create end-to-end evaluation frameworks including automated grading and human-in-the-loop review processes.
- Develop developer-facing tools that integrate with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized execution environments.
- Build backend services and APIs to support experiment infrastructure and dataset pipelines.
- Lead architectural decisions regarding workflow orchestration and distributed job processing.
- Collaborate with ML researchers to turn research methodologies into production-grade systems.
- Maintain platform performance and observability through rigorous monitoring and debugging.
- Mentor team members through design reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend, data infrastructure, or distributed platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java.
- Experience operating large-scale data pipelines and workflow orchestration platforms.
- Strong system design expertise focused on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Experience with cloud-native development on platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL database modeling.
- Ability to manage ambiguous requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring other engineers.
Nice to have
- Background in building ML data infrastructure, benchmarking systems, or dataset generation pipelines.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools, coding agents, or developer productivity platforms.
- Familiarity with GitHub APIs, CI/CD platforms, or code execution environments.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Temporal, Airflow, or Dagster.
- Background in infrastructure or platform engineering within high-growth companies.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation or agentic software engineering.
