About the role
Handshake is seeking a Relationship Manager to join our Education Success team. You will manage a portfolio of educational institutions, focusing on partner retention, product adoption, and long-term account growth.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage a specific book of education partners to ensure successful renewals and identify expansion opportunities.
- Design and execute engagement initiatives, training sessions, and touchpoints to boost platform adoption.
- Monitor usage data and health metrics to mitigate churn risk and implement corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Support teams to address partner requirements and improve the overall user experience.
- Travel for business purposes approximately 25% to 35% of the time, depending on seasonal demands.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management, customer success, or partner-facing roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing a strategic portfolio and developing customized support plans.
- Track record of driving onboarding, product adoption, and renewal processes.
- Proficiency in learning complex SaaS platforms.
- Ability to manage sophisticated professional relationships and handle difficult conversations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical capability to evaluate account health and prioritize tasks based on data.
- High level of detail orientation and project management proficiency.
Nice to have
- Background working with higher education institutions or career services departments.
- Experience developing enablement materials such as webinars or training programs.
- Prior familiarity with the Handshake platform.
