About the role
Join Handshake's Marketing team to manage and execute field marketing and events for two key business areas: Careers (serving employers and educational institutions) and Handshake AI (engaging AI lab researchers and enterprise AI teams). This role involves developing and implementing high-impact experiences, from major conferences to exclusive executive gatherings, aimed at generating leads, strengthening client relationships, and speeding up sales cycles. You will report to the Sr. Manager of Field Marketing and collaborate closely with company executives and Go-To-Market leadership.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Drive the strategy and execution of field, event, and marketing campaigns for both business segments.
- Oversee the complete event lifecycle, from initial planning to post-event analysis, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Contribute to budget and resource allocation for marketing activities, including vendor negotiations.
- Collaborate with Sales leaders to identify and capitalize on event opportunities for enterprise pipeline growth.
- Monitor and analyze field and customer campaign performance, providing data-driven insights for improvement.
- Work with Demand Gen, Content, Product Marketing, and Marketing Ops to deliver integrated programs and content, using AI to streamline production.
- Evaluate and report on the return on investment for field programs, tracking attendee feedback, pipeline influence, and deal acceleration.
- Maintain the third-party event calendar and manage vendor relationships.
- Bring innovative ideas to the table, constantly exploring new approaches.
- Travel approximately once a month for events.
- Help manage a complex calendar of initiatives, making informed trade-offs and providing clear recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in field marketing or event management.
- Demonstrated experience organizing diverse programs, such as conferences, workshops, dinners, or webinars.
- Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Clear and proactive communication style, fostering effective cross-team collaboration.
- Active use of AI tools to enhance productivity, including drafting content, analyzing data, or automating routine tasks.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Suite, SplashThat (or similar event platforms), Salesforce, Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, Pardot, or virtual event platforms (Hopin, Goldcast, Zoom Webinar).
- Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM), demand generation, or high-touch executive programs.
